Coding is becoming one of the fastest-growing markets around the world. It has been termed ‘the language of the future. Companies are emerging every day, with people trying to cash in on this growth. However, not all coding companies are legitimate or have good intentions for one’s children.
Coding should be taught as a course to young kids to take advantage of being bilingual at an early age. The benefits that come along with teaching one’s child to code cannot be underrated, especially when it comes to their education and career prospects.
Decimals to Binary
The decimal to binary conversion is a way of representing decimal numbers in the binary numeral system. The decimal number system has ten as its base and has a positional notation. Binary, on the other hand, has two as its base and also has a positional notation. This means that binary has only two digits, one and zero.

When teaching their child how to code, they need to focus on one activity for an extended period to understand the concept being taught. If this is done enough, their child will develop a strong attention span when tackling other problems such as homework, etc., which can only be beneficial when they get older and attempt more complicated tasks.

When learning to code helps them develop important social skills necessary for their future development. By learning to discuss coding problems, kids learn how to solve problems together, which can help them greatly in the workplace as they will be more likely to find solutions with their co-workers rather than working alone.

Coding helps kids develop problem-solving skills at a young age. If one’s child is new to coding, they won’t understand the concepts behind it initially, and this means that they will have to think about each line of code carefully before putting it into practice. This trains children’s brains to carefully plan out actions and solve problems efficiently, essential in life.

Scientific reports show that “programming can help kids with ADHD develop their attention spans.” Although this may seem like a small benefit, if one’s child has problems focusing in class, it will be easier to learn to code and manage their disorder. This is because coding requires a lot of concentration to understand the concept being taught. Therefore, if one’s child puts all their concentration into learning programming, they will focus more on lessons or other activities requiring a high concentration level.
6. Increases sense of accomplishment
When a child learns how to code, they feel accomplished as it is not an easy skill to grasp. As coding is becoming the ‘language of the future’, their child will be at an advantage compared to their peers if they know how to code at a young age.
